Styling help needed for christening!!!?

Hi, I have bought this dress for a christening as i really like the design: http://www.boohoo.com/day-dresses/maisy-paisley-crochet-yoke-frill-hem-detail-dress/invt/azz80332?_lm_esp=14-92-645 - but as I am an hourglass shape i would like to wear a belt with it, firstly do you think a belt would look ok & also what kind & colour would you suggest? I am wearing it with black opaque tights, possibly a black small cardigan/shrug & the shoes are black/purple & mocha t-bar heeled courts. I reaaly hope you can help me!!!
