Is it okay for a person to wear a dog collar?

Well, I'm 13 and I've noticed everyone has something special about them. My friend always wears her black jacket, my other friend wears his brown jacket, and my other friend wears her mood ring. They always wear them. They never take them off! (except swimming, sleeping, etc.) Everyone in my school has a bracelet, necklace, ring, belt, or even hair piece they don't go without. I don't have one. I notice everyone's is different and no one's is alike. No one has a dog collar. I tried a dog collar on and instantly fell in love. I just want to know, is it okay for someone to wear a dog collar around? It's just black. It's not leather and it doesn't have spikes. I know about those people who act like slaves and wear leashes and stuff, but I'm not one of those. I'm not Gothic either. (there's nothing wrong with any of those people) Is it okay to be a little different? It's not like I believe I'm a dog or anything. I just want to wear a dog collar.
