Will downloading"chrome",help the "bugs" caused by upgrading to"Firefox 5?

updated my firefox a few days ago.I have 1 pc being used regularly by 3 people,occasionally 1 or 2 more.Seems updating(which,i actually think the new changes r cool),caused problems with sound,like listening to music using any programs,is much lower in volume.Also stopped my Avast real time shield (temporarily,i think),& disabled multiple add ons,which it warned me MIGHT happen,& will be"fixed"very soon?(yes,i'm wondering why i went ahead with the upgrade myself).Anyway,i haven't downloaded "Crome" & am wondering if that might help.Anyone who cares to help will be appreciated....thanks.....peace,& love....Bonnie
