If i buy a macbook pro dual core procecor can i upgrade later to a quad core?

im thinking of buying a macbook pro for college and keep it all the way through 7 yrs witch is a lot so can i upgrade 2 a quad core after i buy an dual core and later down the line upgrade to a quad core plz help
